MIDDLEBOROUGH — Chief Joseph Perkins and the Middleborough Police Department want to thank Massachusetts State Police and Falmouth Police for apprehending a man accused of armed robbery on Tuesday.
OWEN LANG, 20, OF KINGSTON, is charged with:
- Armed Robbery
Around 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, a man wearing all-black clothing entered the Sunoco Mart at 157 Main St. The man reached over the counter and grabbed money. The store clerk said the man might have had a knife.
After reviewing surveillance video, police put on a be-on-the-lookout alert for a gray Ford Ranger driven by a man wearing all-black clothing, who would later be identified as LANG.
Around 9 p.m., Massachusetts State Police witnessed a Ford Ranger driven by a man matching LANG’s description along Route 25 near Falmouth.
LANG did not stop immediately for police, but he was taken into custody a short time later by Falmouth Police.
LANG may face other charges related to the brief chase. Those would be filed by State Police and/or Falmouth Police.
LANG was brought back to Middleborough and then transported to the Plymouth County House of Correction, where he awaits arraignment.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
